Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth don’t have to fully erupt from the gums for them to cause discomfort. Known as third molars, wisdom teeth are the last set of teeth to erupt in the mouth. They typically begin to appear in the late teens or early twenties. If there’s insufficient space in the jaw for these teeth to grow properly, they can become impacted, leading to a range of problems, including:

  • Impaction: Wisdom teeth may become partially or fully impacted, meaning they are unable to fully erupt through the gums.
  • Infection: Impacted wisdom teeth can become infected, causing pain, swelling, and other symptoms.
  • Cysts: Cysts may form around impacted wisdom teeth, potentially damaging nearby teeth or bone.

At Allen Orthodontics, our caring oral surgeons will carefully remove your wisdom teeth so you can get back to your life. We understand that this procedure can be stressful, and we strive to provide a comfortable and compassionate experience for our patients.
